Anchor Alarm Company, Inc. originated in 1973 with Robert (Bob) Ockman. When Mr. Ockman opened his doors in 1973, he envisioned giving his customers a level of personal service unheard of at that time. Over 40 years ago, he and his technicians, following his philosophy of “Customer Satisfaction is our number one priority” designed the business model we still follow today. It is the type of service our customers expect, and many are original customers of Mr. Ockman’s.
In December 1999, Ronnie & Aline Lemoine acquired the company and remain the owners today. We continue to service many of the original customers whose alarm systems were installed in the 1970’s by Mr Ockman, and their children who have called upon us to continue to deliver the personal service they grew up with.
We are members of the BBB since 1973, and maintain an A rating with no complaints registered. We are also a member of Dunn & Bradstreet. Technology has radically changed since the days when Mr. Ockman opened the company.
Today we are equipped to handle all of your home and/or business security needs including: sales, service, monitoring and maintenance of security systems, cameras systems, cellular communicators, medical emergency equipment, and home automation systems. We also install home theater systems and much more! Customer loyalty is very important to us, so we try to solve your alarm problems over the phone. Only if all else fails, do we schedule a required service call.
We strive to give our customers the type of personal service that larger national companies cannot match. We are a local company, locally owned and operated, and our central station is local as well. Unlike many other alarm companies, our monitoring station is located in Monroe, LA. It was located in Metairie, and when destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, was relocated to Monroe, LA where it can continue to operate even in extreme weather environments. It remains in the state and therefore is aware of all local conditions.
We sell brands you know, Napco, DSC, QOLSYS, Ademco and many others. Our licensed technicians are experienced and go thru an extensive screening process which includes fingerprinting and background checks. They are required to accrue continuing education units each year, which keeps them abreast of the newest equipment and industry standards. As with all Security companies, we are governed by the State Fire Marshall’s Office and maintain all required licenses and insurance. We carry several brands of cellular communicators which allow you to discontinue your landline telephone for monitoring of your alarm system and utilize instead a secure wireless connection between your alarm system and our central station.
Anchor Alarm has operated continuously for 44 years and we have not done it alone.
